Bespoke .NET systems

Custom software, built around your business.

When off-the-shelf doesn't fit and spreadsheets have stopped coping, you need software shaped around how you actually work. I build bespoke .NET systems on the Microsoft stack — designed to be reliable, maintainable, and trusted for years.

Sound familiar?

When a generic tool stops being good enough.

Bespoke isn't always the answer — but when it is, these are usually the reasons.

You're bending your business to fit your software, instead of the other way round.

Critical processes live in spreadsheets that are fragile, manual and easy to get wrong.

You're paying for several tools and gluing them together by hand to get one job done.

The way you work is a genuine advantage — and no off-the-shelf product supports it.

You've outgrown a template or plugin-based build that can't scale with you.

You need systems to talk to each other and share data that's currently siloed.

What you get

Software that fits — and keeps working.

Built properly the first time, so it doesn't become next year's rescue project.

  • Built around your processMapped to how your business actually runs, not forced into a template you have to adapt to.
  • Maintainable, standard .NETClean, documented code with no exotic dependencies and no lock-in. Easy for anyone to pick up later.
  • Properly integratedConnected to the accounting, email and tools you already use, so data flows instead of being re-keyed.
  • Reliable by designHosted on Azure with proper backups, monitoring and security — not bolted on as an afterthought.
  • Supported long-termBy the same person who built it. It grows and adapts as your business does.

Start small, prove it, then scale.

Most projects begin with a fixed-scope first phase — a real, working piece of the system — so you can see exactly how I work before committing to the whole thing.

Questions

Common questions about bespoke builds.

How much does bespoke software cost?
It depends on scope, but you'll always get a clear, fixed quote before anything starts. Most projects begin with a smaller fixed-scope first phase, so you can judge the work — and the value — before committing to the whole thing.
Won't custom software lock me in to one developer?
No. I build with clean, standard, documented .NET and no exotic dependencies. If you ever bring in another developer or take it in-house, they can pick it up without starting again. The opposite of lock-in.
When is custom actually better than off-the-shelf?
When off-the-shelf forces you to change how you work, when you're paying for and stitching together several products to do one job, or when the way you operate is a real advantage worth supporting properly. If a ready-made tool genuinely fits, I'll tell you to use it.
How long does it take?
Smaller systems can be live in weeks; larger ones are built in phases so you get working software early rather than waiting months for a big reveal. You'll have a realistic timeline as part of the quote.
Do you support it after launch?
Yes — the person who builds it supports it. Software is never truly finished, so I keep it running, fix what comes up, and extend it as your business changes.
